Thick as Thieves Wines

A growing interest in good food and wine might have come to nothing had it not been for Pfeiffer Wines giving Syd Bradford a vintage job in '03. In that year he enrolled in the wine science course at CSU; he then moved to the Yarra Valley in ’05, gaining experience at a number of wineries, including Coldstream Hills. Syd was desperate to have a go at crafting his own ‘babies’. In ’09 he came across a small parcel of arneis from the Hoddles Creek area, and Thick as Thieves was born. The techniques used to make his babies could only come from someone who has spent a long time observing and thinking about what he might do if he were calling the shots. -JAMES HALLIDAY
