Helen & Joey Estate

Victoria | Yarra Valley | Never ceded, the land we farm is Wurundjeri land. Always was, always will be.

Our Review

This is the venture of Helen Xu, who purchased the large Fernando Vineyard on Spring Lane in '10. It is planted to pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay, pinot gris, shiraz and sauvignon blanc. Helen’s background is quite varied. She has a master's degree in analytical chemistry and was a QA manager for Nestlé for several years. She now owns a business in Shanghai, working with textile ink development together with husband Joey. They currently split their time between China and Australia. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door

Information

One of the busier cellar doors in the Yarra Valley, Helen & Joey offers a relaxed and conversational approach. Tastings are conducted inside, as well as outside when the weather permits. The views from the deck are second to none, and there are unicorns, which help set the tone at this family-friendly cellar door.
