Our Review
After 18 years at Lancefield Winery in the Macedon Ranges, Andrew Pattison moved his operation a few kms north to set up Burke & Wills Winery at the southern edge of the Heathcote region. The vineyards at Mia Mia comprise 0.6ha of shiraz, 0.6ha of bordeaux varieties (cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, merlot and malbec) and 0.4ha of gewürztraminer. He still sources a small amount of Macedon Ranges fruit from his former vineyard; additional grapes are contract-grown in Heathcote. -JAMES HALLIDAY
