Foreign Friends

In '23, 2 sisters and a close friend who enjoy good times and travel decided to go into the wine business together in Beechworth. The 3 women were far from wine novices. Leila Davis began her winemaking career at Domenica in ’18 after finishing a degree in microbiology. She has also worked vintage at Pipers Brook in Tasmania and in Beaujolais and the Jura. She is working part-time in the vineyard at Sorrenberg and in the winery at Sentio while establishing Foreign Friends. Her sister, Crystal Davis, runs the marketing and operations side of the business while also working in advertising. Friend and co-owner Juliette Menneteau’s background is in wine distribution. They currently source fruit from both the Yarra and King Valleys and Beechworth. -JENI PORT
