Our Review
Bob and Rita Richter began the establishment of Grey Sands in '89, slowly increasing the plantings to the present total. The ultra-high density of 8900 vines/ha reflects the experience gained by the Richters during a 3-year stay in England, when they visited many vineyards across Europe, as well as Bob’s graduate diploma from Roseworthy College. Plantings include pinot noir, merlot, pinot gris and malbec. -JAMES HALLIDAY
