Dr Allen E Gale has a CV of extraordinary length, specialising in allergy. Together with Chris Thomas he has established 1ha of vines at Wilmington, a very promising new area. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are made offsite by Chris Thomas, and are sold at the adjoining Cafe C Restaurant. -JAMES HALLIDAY
