Our Review
Alan Hickinbotham planted his namesake vineyard to dry-grown cabernet sauvignon and shiraz in ’71. His father, Alan Robb Hickinbotham, co-founded the oenology diploma at Roseworthy in 1936. Jackson Family Wines bought the estate in ’12; it is run as a separate business to its Yangarra Estate Vineyard. The vineyard has been farmed according to organic and biodynamic practices since '19. -JAMES HALLIDAY
