Our Review
Langmeil Winery, owned and operated by the Lindner family, is home to what may be the world’s oldest surviving shiraz vineyard, The Freedom 1843. The historic, now renovated, site was once an important trading post and is also the location of the Orphan Bank vineyard. This plot of shiraz vines, originally planted in the 1860s, was transplanted from Tanunda to the banks of the North Para River in 2006. -JAMES HALLIDAY
