Our Review
Brad and Stacy Allan acquired what was then Smith’s vineyard in '13, renaming the property Sancerre Estate and creating the new View Wines label. The husband-and-wife team oversee all aspects of View Wines’ vineyard and winemaking, with the benefit of some assistance from Bent Road’s Robert Richter (co-owner and viticulturist), Andrew Scott (assistant winemaker) and Glen Robert (co-owner and winemaker) along the way. The property is primarily planted to regional staples of sauvignon blanc and shiraz but perhaps their most exciting wines are the dry wines produced from gros manseng and alvarinho. -MIKE BENNIE
