Our Review
Citadine is the venture of Kirby Siemering, who is fully entitled to append ‘Dr' to his name, but chooses not to do so. He obtained his PhD in microbiology and genetics, and for four years worked and lived in the UK heading a team that sequenced the genome of a wine yeast. During that period he visited many of the wine regions of Europe, and on his return to Australia in 1999, began the CSU wine science course. He subsequently worked vintages at Warramate and Jamsheed. -JAMES HALLIDAY
