Mora Wines

New Zealand | Central Otago

Our Review

If I could teleport to any of the Central Otago vineyards on a wish, it would be the Mora Wines Cairnmuir Flats site. The panoramic, pristine and river-threaded Bannockburn block was planted to pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot gris in '96 by Sir Clifford and Lady Marie Skeggs. Today, it accounts for 1 of 5 vineyard sites owned by the estate and 13.5ha of an impressive 90ha under vine. Riesling, pinot gris, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and pinot noir are the cornerstones of the portfolio, with wines being made under the Central Otago and Single Site series. A focus on regenerative and organic farming is deeply knit into the Mora Wines story. -KATRINA BUTLER
