The weekend and holiday hobby of Wellington solicitor Brian Holmes, who has wisely decided to leave it at that. I have not tasted the wines for many years, but the last wines I did taste were competently made. Brian has battled on through flood, frost and drought, the vineyard now comprising shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc. -JAMES HALLIDAY
