Philip Shaw Wines

New South Wales | Orange | Wiradjuri

Our Review

Philip Shaw, former chief winemaker of Rosemount Estate and then Southcorp, first became interested in the Orange region in '85. In ’88, he purchased the Koomooloo Vineyard and began extensive plantings. The varieties include shiraz, merlot, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and viognier and the vineyard is in conversion to organic. Philip has handed the reins to sons Daniel and Damian to concentrate on his HOOSEGG wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
