Cassegrain Wines

New South Wales | Hastings River | Birpai

Our Review

Cassegrain has continued to evolve and develop. It still draws on the original Hastings River vineyard of 4.9ha, where the most important varieties are semillon, verdelho and chambourcin, with pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon making up the numbers. However, Cassegrain also part-owns and manages Richfield Vineyard in the New England region, with 30ha of chardonnay, verdelho, semillon, shiraz, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and ruby cabernet. Grapes are also purchased from Tumbarumba, Orange, Hilltops, Mudgee and the Hunter Valley. Exports to Japan and other major markets. -JAMES HALLIDAY
