Grape variety and region are always important but, given the array of both on display here, the deciding factor with rosé is purpose-built growing, picking and making. Sutton Grange’s rosé is a perfect example; it has won this category two years running for a reason. Rosé is such an important category, commercially, now that the praises of the top examples probably aren’t sung as heartily as they should be.

The white grapes bring an extra layer of delicate aromatics and body weight to one impressive rosé. Pretty tea-rose hues.
